Landscape and garden design for private residential spaces.
Our services are structured to support clients at different stages of a project, whether you are looking for a complete garden design, a remote concept package, or focused professional advice to refine an existing space. Choose the route that fits your project below.
Full Garden Design
A complete, phased process from concept to completion.
Virtual Design
A remote concept package for clear design direction.
Consultation Session
Focused, strategic advice to move forward with clarity.
Our Full Garden Design service is suited to clients who are looking for a complete and carefully considered design process, from the first ideas through to a fully developed garden proposal.
It is ideal for larger gardens, complex sites, new-build properties, major renovations, or projects where the garden needs to be closely coordinated with architecture, interiors, contractors or wider design teams. The process is collaborative and phased, refining the project into a coherent and buildable proposal.
What the process can include
- Initial brief and site review A detailed conversation about the project, your aspirations, lifestyle, priorities, budget and practical requirements. Where needed, we review existing drawings, photographs, surveys, planning information and wider architectural context.
- Site analysis and spatial strategy We study the existing garden, its levels, views, boundaries, access, privacy, orientation, constraints and opportunities — establishing the overall structure before moving into detail.
- Concept design We define the main layout, atmosphere and design direction through plans, sketches, mood imagery, precedent references, planting character and material direction.
- Developed design The design is developed in more detail: refined plans, key areas, furniture and feature locations, material palettes, planting direction, lighting principles and coordination with other consultants or contractors.
- Planting direction Planting is an essential part of the design, not an afterthought. We can develop planting palettes, character references, species suggestions and detailed planting information.
- Contractor coordination & implementation support Where required, we support the project towards construction: coordination with contractors, review of key details, site meetings and design clarifications to maintain quality and intent.
Who this is best for
Clients who want a complete design process and a high level of design input, particularly where the garden is part of a wider property project or requires careful consideration of layout, materials, planting, levels and long-term use.
Our Virtual Design service is a remote garden design package for clients who want a clear and considered design direction without the need for a full in-person design process.
It is best suited to smaller gardens, terraces, courtyards or relatively straightforward spaces, and to early-stage ideas. Unlike a consultation, Virtual Design provides a more developed visual and spatial proposal — a clear concept you can take forward independently, discuss with a contractor, or develop further with our support.
What is included
- Online briefing session We meet online to discuss your garden, your priorities, how you want to use the space, your preferred style, practical requirements and any existing issues.
- Review of existing information You provide photographs, measurements, videos, existing plans or a survey if available. For complex spaces, we may recommend a measured survey before design begins.
- Concept layout A clear layout showing the proposed organisation of the garden: key spaces, routes, seating areas, planting zones, focal points and main features.
- Mood and material direction Visual references communicating the atmosphere of the garden, including suggested materials, textures, finishes and overall character.
- Planting approach The intended planting character — soft, architectural, seasonal, evergreen, naturalistic, shade-tolerant or low-maintenance planting.
- Practical recommendations Where useful, notes on privacy, maintenance, furniture, lighting principles, contractor discussions or how to phase the work.
How it works
- 01EnquiryYou send photographs, basic dimensions, location, a short description and any key goals or constraints.
- 02Project reviewWe confirm whether the garden is suitable for a remote process. Some gardens require an in-person visit or a full design service, particularly where levels, drainage or complex construction are involved.
- 03Online briefing sessionWe meet online to discuss the brief, your preferences, lifestyle, budget expectations and the main opportunities for the space.
- 04Design developmentWe prepare the virtual design package, including the agreed drawings, mood direction and recommendations.
- 05Review and refinementYou review the proposal and provide feedback. A round of refinement can be included depending on the agreed scope.
- 06HandoverThe final package is issued for you to use independently, share with contractors, or develop further with our support.
Who this is best for
Clients who want more than advice, but do not need the full depth of an in-person garden design service. It works well for smaller spaces, simple gardens, terraces and clients comfortable managing the next steps themselves.
Our Consultation Session is a focused advisory service for clients who need professional guidance before committing to a full design process, or who want to improve an existing garden with clearer direction.
This is not a full design package, but a strategic session designed to help you understand what is possible, identify the main issues and opportunities, and make better decisions about your garden. It can be held online or in person, depending on location and availability.
What we can cover
- Layout and spatial potentialHow the garden could be better organised, how spaces could connect, and where seating, planting, paths or focal points might work best.
- Planting and atmosphereAdvice on planting character, suitable plant types, seasonal interest, privacy, maintenance and how to create a more cohesive garden.
- Privacy and boundariesImproving screening, softening boundaries, dealing with overlooking, or creating a more enclosed and comfortable outdoor space.
- Levels and accessInitial thoughts on steps, terraces, transitions, slopes and how the garden could feel more connected and usable.
- Materials and finishesGuidance on paving, gravel, timber, stone, edging, furniture and how to create a more refined material palette.
- Existing garden improvementsHow to improve a garden without starting from scratch: what to keep, what to simplify, and where the biggest impact could come from.
- Contractor and implementation questionsHow to approach contractors, what information they may need, and what to consider before starting work.
How it works
Before the session, we ask you to send photographs, videos, plans or any useful information about the garden, so we can make the session as useful as possible.
During the session, we discuss your garden in detail and focus on the questions that matter most to you — client-led, but guided by professional design advice. Afterwards, you can proceed independently or request a tailored proposal for further design work.
Who this is best for
Clients who need clarity, feedback or professional direction, but are not yet ready for a full design process — including those who already have a garden, contractor or set of ideas and want an expert opinion before making decisions.
